Facilitating Workshops
Joy facilitates small, interactive workshops & meetings for cowriters, research groups, & labs that concrete on practices that lead to healthy relationships, clear communication, clarity, depth, & productivity. She leads writing workshops that walk groups through the difficult task of establishing policies & procedures that work for their group’s needs & values. Joy’s workshops create space for people to foster healthier relationships with each each other.
CIRCLES OF TRUST
Modeled after what Quakers call “Circles of Trust” or “Clearness Committees,” I lead research partners and groups through a discussion that is meant to open up space for many ideas, not narrow down on the “right” ones.
ABOUT WRITING
Through engaging conversation, I share key concepts of wellness & writing productively in academia. Researchers find it helpful to have their graduate students or research group members all on the same page.
